It’s a pleasure experimenting alongside you, Sal. How amazing is it for such far-flung strangers to strengthen each other in this place of unexpected abundance? I’m excited to see where you take this next! 🤗

Oh, Julie…. Sal is calling! How’s your collaboration calendar? 😉

I love everything about this, Sal! So much resonates, and I'll say a hearty YES to this: "this powerful sense that everything I send out is actually read." Time for another collab!!

Truly! Currently in the throes of purging, packing and clearing the house for sale. Hoping September will calm down in a couple weeks.

Hi Sal, it's lovely to be included here and you've been a highlight of my Siubstack journey (not yet a year for me). I looked at buying your book, but Amazon UK say it's unavailable and I'd rather know what the shipping might be from the US to the UK before ordering from dispersed holdings. Are there other ways to get it?

The thing that most resonated in your post was the boost to writing that Substack gives. I was very worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up but I actually think the deadlines/requirement (I make sure I have plenty of posts in reserve) has helped writing flow. It also helps to imagine wonderfully attentive readers like yourself as I write and post: actual people who want to read what I write.

So let's keep writing!!

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for wanting to read the book! There’s a distribution situation going on right now, it’s true. Hoping it gets cleared up in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, I’ll find out how much international shipping is directly from the publisher, but I don’t think it’s too bad. I’ll let you know.

It’s been great finding people like you with kindred interests!

Hi Sal,

Thank you for this lovely post! It's refreshing to have a Substack writer highlight all the non-commodification benefits and delights of Substack. I know it's helpful to earn some money from all of our hard work as creators, AND, it's also refreshing to drop the commodification equation and just create to create. Bowing!

Thank you for including me Sal. I can't quite remember how I came across your wonderful work here, but all I know is that it was meant to be and I'm continually inspired by your words. I do hope we can collaborate on some magical idea very soon.
