I like the way this artist is so comfortable taking a long time to make a work. I was just reading a different essay (exactly before getting to this one) where Tara McMullin in “What Works” was questioning the attitude of so many workplaces, where taking time is just impossible. I think this artist’s paintings get at the essence of the need to take time very beautifully.
