Thank you for this, Sal. I know I will be reading it over many times. I felt so moved by the experience and teaching you share here, and deeply grateful.
Thank you, Bonnie! I'm so happy you crossed paths with this and made time to read it. You are always one of my most treasured people to be in conversation with about anything important.
Yes, thanks so much for this. I was very glad to be able to see the nun you were speaking about. What a wise, solid presence she has. And Kazim's poem was even better that I remembered it.
The nun's words affected me, but her presence affected me even more. I recommend the full documentary, The Mountain Path, very highly! She's the heart of it for me.
So much of this spoke to me. That great wind pushing me, even as I make excuses or procrastinate while that wind rages in me. And I too, am hermit–curious. (What a great term!) Nowadays, I’m wandering between a need for hermit life and the call to be out and help this suffering world.
This is a beautiful dharma talk. I’m looking forward to watching the video. And the Ma Yuan painting! Exquisite, though it makes me wonder what it was cut from. Thank you! 🙏🏽

Thank you. 'hermit curious, hermit questioning" "Sky above. Great wind." guide this presence.
They guide me! I find I'm pilgrimage-curious too.

Thank you Jinkai! I was so glad you were able to make it to the retreat, even with all of the crazy obstacles in your journey.
It was great to be there with Sangha in person. It was well worth the effort made to get there!
